I have started my travel to reach whale sharks in Donsol !
Trip so far . I left Boracay at 11 am .
Took a trike from station 1 paid 120 peso (he clearly robbed me ) Then 25 peso fee for boat (tourists pay extra 100 for terminal fee - no one really knows what's is this fee really used for )
Crossed over from Boracay to Catiklan in about 15 minutes . Next me me were 2 guys...
that had chickens in boxes . They seemed so excited , guess new cock fight is happening near by .
Then i came out of the Jetty port and everyone was trying to grab me for a buses to Kalibo or Iliolo.. Or anywhere else ( as most of them make commission on a sale instantly )
I passed by and went to the shop , and turns out that next to the shop is a nice Kalibo airport bus for 175 peso . Sounds good to me . Took that , got the front seat and I was on my way to see whale sharks
Bus took 1 hour and 45 minutes at slow pace . Driver was carefully , although from time time he would be texting while driving , but I didn't mind .. He seemed safe - ish !!!
Then arrived at Kalibo airport .. And s*****.. This place is just unbelievable .. There are about100 people all over the place .. To me it makes absolutely no sense at all , but looks like the big security guys understand it . They told me I still have to wait for my flight for 1 hour to check in .
So here I am typing my update ..
Well! I missed traveling ..
Hopefully it will stay the same way thought out these days in Philippines .
Description of Kalibo .. Hmm madness would be a perfect word to describe it .. It looks dirty and disorganized, although I have been in the city for few night before and it still makes no sense...
Can't wait to get out of here ..
Ps.- fiesta in January is a great time to visit Kalibo . it's one of the oldest fiestas in Philippine sharpening here !!
