I decided to explore Nha Trang shopping scene . Girl need her shiny things !
Well... I walked up to the biggest market in Nha Trang . Its Called Cho Dam Market .Located in Vanh Thanh area . Or easy way to find is ask for Phu Thinh hotel . This hotel is located in the market and taxi drivers know it .
Market it self .. The same as any other market .. Filled with shoes , tshirts , food , jewellery , home supplies and Vietnamese people having a nap in between items for sale . I found it funny , wonder if you would ..
So i walked around in tourist area for a while . All locals kept asking me to buy stuff .At the time i could not even approach any stand without 5 ladies cornering me - trying to sell me all S*** possible .And all trying to speak to me in Russian .
5 ladies cornering me - trying to sell me all S*** possible .
Suddenly no one cared that i was there
I was fed up soon , so i took a creepy alley corner and found myself in front of coconut cleaning station with lady in her 40 sleeping in the middle .
Street ahead was quiet..Suddenly no one cared that i was there, tourist wondering ... This was a local people market area with place for sellers to hang out , old ladies to make sun hats and young men cut bamboo sticks .
And all that without constant camera flash in face . This time only mine , a little bit .
I was excited to explore this new world .
"another tourist taking photos " thats what they must thought ..
I just kept walking with huge smile on my face and and my 1,5 l water bottle in hand . Its all i needed .
Hope you enjoy photos !There was so much more going on , but i felt uncomfortable to try to take a photo .
At the end of the day - Would i want to be photographed while having a quick lunch break at the soup place ?
Tip to remember :
# They charge everything 4 times more - so bargain 4 times less
( It seems that Russians , because of language barier , do not bargain at all .. You say 400 for a pair of shorts - there u go )
# Take someone Vietnamese for you !!! They know how this works ..
# Smile at people in the market ... It costs nothing .
